Eureka Springs Offers a Magical Mountain Charm

Eureka Springs is one of the most well known destinations in Northwest Arkansas. Many visitors return year after year to experience the charm and beauty that is embodied in this special town with its numerous Victorian homes, gently coasting streets and expanse of natural beauty.

The 1886 Crescent Hotel and Spa is one of the most popular attractions in the city. Located downtown right in the heart of the historic district, the history of the hotel alone provides enough of a reason to visit. At the time of its construction, the hotel was considered to be one of the most luxurious hotels in the country. While you are visiting the downtown district, you may wish to take either a leisurely carriage ride or a ride on the charming trolley that takes visitors throughout the district.

If you are interested in antiques, you will find scores of quaint shops and boutiques situated along the ambling streets of Eureka Springs.

The Opera in the Ozarks is another attraction which shouldn’t be missed during a visit to Eureka Springs. The multi-talented artists which travel to Eureka Springs to participate in the festival provide visitors with an experience they will certainly never forget.

Belle of the Ozarks offers visitors the opportunity to take a relaxing cruise along Beaver Lake, basking in the beauty of the shoreline. During your excursion you will have the opportunity to view a wide variety of wildlife as well as an ancient Indian burial ground.

For a truly inspirational touch to your visit, be sure to stop by the Sacred Arts Center, which is home to more than 1,000 works of religious art. Of course, no trip to Eureka Springs would be complete for those of faith without a visit to The Great Passion Play, an inspiring outdoor presentation of the last days of Christ.
