In Bentonville, you can enjoy the opportunity to tour a spectacular Italianate Mansion, the Peel Mansion. This villa was constructed in 1875 and once served as a working farm encircled by nearly two hundred acres of apple trees. Today, the site is also home to an outdoor museum that hosts numerous perennials, historic roses and various other native plants.
Blanchard Springs Caverns, in Mountain View, is one of the most interesting caverns in the area, offering a system comprised of three levels and various trails that wind their way throughout the depths of the caverns. The guided tour that leads visitors along the paths of the caverns is a must-see when in the area. Hurricane River Cave is situated between Harrison and Marshall. The passages of the caves have been eroded by water over time and feature numerous stalagmites, stalactites, draperies, flowstone, rimstone dams and numerous other fabulous features.
