The White River tailwaters come off of the bottom of Beaver Lake, so they are chilly! It's the perfect environment for trout. The smaller ones bite when the water is normal. Northwest Arkansas Information - White River

The White River is actually the source for many of Arkansas's lakes. Its headwaters feed Beaver Lake, and its tailwaters provide fast-paced fishing for rainbow, cutthroat, and brown trout. The cold waters also hold largemouth and smallmouth bass, stripers, hybrids, and the ubiquitous spoonbill.
