Forged check Sean Borkine, 38, faces an arrest warrant filed June 11 on charges of forgery. He is accused in September of cashing a forged check. Stealing from work Lane Scott Rogell, 46, was charged on June 18 with theft of property. He is accused of taking property from his employer. Stolen motorcycle Michael D. Fournier, 32, was charged on June 18 with theft by receiving. He is accused on May 20 of being in possession of a stolen motorcycle. (Northwest Arkansas Times)

Northwest Arkansas-A Treat for Nature Lovers

Northwest Arkansas offers a veritable treat for the senses. The sights, scents and sounds of the area offer something for everyone, but especially for those who enjoy the great outdoors.

Near Bentonville, visitors can enjoy the Wild Wilderness Drive-Thru Safari, where a vast array of wildlife await, including zebras, monkeys, giraffes, kangaroos, antelopes and numerous others. There are even several baby animals which children are allowed to pet.

The Old Spanish Treasure Cave remains one of the biggest mysteries in the Ozarks. This extensive cave is believed to be one of the most historical caverns in the states. Step inside and learn about the numerous fascinating legends of hidden treasures which are still believed to be hidden inside as well as the mystery that has kept those treasures hidden.

War Eagle Cavern offers its own taste of the underground beauty of Northwest Arkansas, with an expansive array of fossils, dams, waterfalls and formations. As you progress through the cavern you may even have the opportunity to meet a bat, as the cavern is home to one of the largest colonies of bats in North America. Make sure you stop by the Trading Post for the opportunity to shop for some rather unusual memorabilia and souvenirs. Top off your visit to the cave with a snack at the Smoke Signal Café.

Hobbs State Park, located slightly east of Rogers, Arkansas, is one of the largest state parks in Arkansas. Here you will be able to feast your eyes upon acres and acres of wildflowers and wildlife as well as steep hollows and long ridges. Make sure you plan plenty of time for your visit because you will most certainly wish to learn about the unique history of the park, the spirit of the original Ozark pioneers and explore the unique geology of the park.
